Holy Week begins next Sunday with the celebratuon of Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Pasion – the liturgy recommends that one procession commemorating the Lord’s entry into Jersusalem take place in the Parish. So weather permitting we will gather at 4.50pm in the car park at St Mary’s Church this year, next Saturday evening.

Archbishop Eamon Martin, along with the clergy of the diocese, will celebrate the Chrism Mass on Wednesday, 17 April at 7.00pm in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh.  All are welcome. Two people from the Parish can take part in this Mass – contact Fr. M asap.

At present only two people help count the Sunday collection – maybe those who used to help may recommit and others may like to join this group. Three/four people every Sunday would be a great help and the more there are, then a rota can be arranged. Contact Fr. M.

Back on Track is a programme within SOLAS, a charity which supports children with additional educational needs (stage 1-3 of SEN Code of Practice) in primary schools in your area.  We are looking for retired teachers or people who have an interest, experience and/or expertise in the field of education to provide 1:1/small group support specifically in literacy and numeracy on a voluntary basis. Errigal Ciaran Club Notes The letters drawn in this week’s Club Errigal Alphalot were B C U X Z. There were no jackpot winners but James Gormley and Ann & Matthew McCartan matched 4 letters and scooped £100 each. The jackpot next week rises to £5200. Thank you for your continued support. With the clocks springing forward last weekend, all underage training for U6-U10s and U12 boys moves back to the grass on a Thursday night in Dunmoyle from 18.30 – 19.30 commencing on Thursday the 4th of April, continuing every Thursday until September.   We would like to take this opportunity to thank St. Ciarans College for the use of their facilities over the last number of weeks. The members of our successful 1999 Minor Championship winning team are set to run a series of fund raising events over the coming few months in conjunction with the Spirit of Paul McGirr Foundation. The foundation aims to send a group of volunteers to Zambia to start building a secondary school with an entire wing dedicated to our ex-minor footballer Kevin McCartan who was killed tragically in a road traffic accident. All support is greatly appreciated. More details to follow. For any members experiencing a recent black out with regards club text messages, we would ask for patience.
