Underage training resumes in Dunmoyle this Thursday evening, 2nd May from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. All children must be accompanied to the pavilion from the car park and collected from the pavilion at the end of training for health and safety reasons. The members of our successful 1999 Minor Championship winning team are running a series of fundraising events in conjunction with the Spirit of Paul McGirr Foundation. The foundation aims to send a group of volunteers to Zambia to start building a secondary school with an entire wing dedicated to our ex-minor footballer Kevin McCartan who was killed tragically in a road traffic accident. We would ask any of our Gaels who are involved in the construction industry and who would be interested in lending a hand on the trip to get in contact with Conor or Frankie on 07734562112 or 07760280691 respectively. All travel and accommodation to be provided. After an immensely successful night on Friday past at Quinns Corner when we hosted the GAA Hour with Colm Parkinson, the attention turns to Kellys Inn on Friday 10th May for a much-anticipated charity fight night event. More details will follow over the coming days so look out for promotional material around the town, schools and club WhatsApp. For any members experiencing a recent black out with regards club text messages, we would ask for patience. We are experiencing difficulties with our mobile provider and are investigating alternative communication options at the moment. Ideally, WhatsApp is currently our most effective platform and we would encourage anybody with access to a smartphone to download WhatsApp and let us know you have done so. Upcoming club fixtures: Sat 4th May @ 12noon – U14 Boys vs. Coalisland @ Coalisland, Sat 4th @ 4:30 & 6pm – Junior Reserves & Juniors vs. Clann naGael @ Dunmoyle, Wed 8th @ 7pm – Senior Ladies vs. Aodh Ruadh @ Dunmoyle.
