Pentecost Sunday sees the end of the Easter Season. The Paschal Candle is now kept near the Baptismal Font. At funerals the Paschal Candle is placed near the coffin to signify that Christian death s a true Passover. What is called Ordinary Time begins on Monday 10th June – green vestments are usually worn at Mass except for major feasts or solemnities.
Sacrament of Baptism: we welcome into the Errigal Ciaran faith community Ruairi Michael McGirr; Aodha Veronica Kelly who were Baptised recently; next dates: Saturday 15th June in Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballygawley at 3pm; Saturday 13th July in St Matthew’s Church, Garvaghey at 3pm.
Corpus Christi: all children who celebrated and received their First Communion recently are invited to come to any Mass in the Parish on the Corpus Christi weekend 22nd/23rd June next. Please, if possible, wear your First Communion clothes.

40 hours Eucharistic Adoration: the Two Hearts Association who brought the statue of Our Lady of Fatima to our Parish last January have arranged 40hours Adoration in St Matthew’s Church beginning on Monday 10th June at 6am and concluding on Tuesday 11th June at 10pm. The Tuesday Parish Mass at 10am will be celebrated at St Matthew’s Church. The Association arrange this time in thanksgiving for the many graces and blessings upon our Parish since the visitation of the statue. They are continuing to pray for the protection of the Church, our priests, marriage and family life. All are invited to spend some time before the Blessed Sacrament. Please leave your name on the time sheet in the Church porch to indicate which hour you would be available.
Mary’s Meals – backpack contributions can be left in the plastic box in any of the Churches. Mary’s Meals Team thank you for your generosity to date.

Parish Pastoral Council have arranged for St Mary’s Church, Dunmoyle to have spring clean outside on Saturday 29th June at 10am. All help welcome.
Apostolate of Eucharistic Adoration Pilgrimage to Knock 14 – 15 June The Apostolate of Eucharistic Adoration invites everyone to the Adoremus Eucharistic & Marian National Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine on the evening of Friday14th and all day Saturday 15th June. The Programme on both days covers the interest of all age groups but a very special outreach to young adults with many parallel events organised for them this year. Worldpriest Annual Global Rosary Relay – 28 June The Worldpriest Annual Global Rosary Relay will take place in St Malachy’s Church, Armagh on Friday, 28 June. Archbishop Eamon will celebrate Mass at 8.00 a.m. followed by praying the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary at 8.30 a.m. All are welcome. Please remember in prayer all of our priests on that day.
Lough Derg: the three-day pilgrimage season has begun. The pilgrimage includes prayer and quiet reflection in bare feet, keeping vigil (24hours) and maintaining the fast (one simple Lough Derg meal each day). Pilgrims must be over 15years, physically able to walk and kneel unaided and to maintain the fast. Pilgrims can arrive from 11am on the first day having fasted from midnight and depart on the third day at 10am. Pre-booking is not required. Admission 75Euro; student discount 15%, concessions for seniors and groups. Last day to begin the pilgrimage is Tuesday 13th August.

Errigal Ciaran Club Notes The letters drawn in this weeks Club Errigal Alphalot draw were; D F I Q Y. There were no jackpot or match 4 winners and as such the four lucky dips drawn were; Erin McGarvey, Jack Loughran, Lena & George Daly and Brian Mullin who each receive £25. Next weeks jackpot rises to £6100. Thank you for your continued support. Underage training continues in Dunmoyle this Thursday evening, 6th June from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. All children must be accompanied to the pavilion from the car park and collected from the pavilion at the end of training for health and safety reasons. For any members experiencing a recent black out with regards club text messages, we would ask for patience. We are experiencing difficulties with our mobile provider and are investigating alternative communication options at the moment. Ideally, WhatsApp is currently our most effective platform and we would encourage anybody with access to a smartphone to download WhatsApp and let us know you have done so.
