Mass in St Patrick’s Cathedral on 12th October to mark 80 years of Apostolic Work in Armagh! Archbishop Eamon Martin will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving at 1pm. Many missionary priests will join for the celebration in the Extraordinary Month of Mission. The organisation was started by Miss Margaret Colgan in 1939 and has provided wonderful support, both financially and materially for the last 80 years. The needs of the Missions are still great and they range from water, food, medicines, education, transport, Churches, Sacred Items, Altar Linens, Vestments etc. All are invited to join as we celebrate this special occasion. Mary’s Meals continue to support many children in Malawi. This week they sent 50 sacks with each sack containing 10 backpacks full of amazing resources for the children. They have a further 50 sacks waiting to be sent away. That’s a total of 1000 backpacks to help the children of Malawi!!! Some of the contents came from donations from this Parish. Mary’s Meals would be very grateful if anyone could donate even an hour of their time to assist in packing these amazing backpacks. If you are interested, please contact Pauline on 07713358295
The Rosary for Faith and Life will take place on the 13th October. We are asking you to find a location in your area and join us in praying the Rosary there at 2.30pm. Cloughfin Community Association For children – The Irish Dancing Class takes place on Monday evenings at 5pm. We would warmly welcome new members, especially as our numbers have been falling over the last couple of years. At only £3 per night with a cuppa afterwards we can guarantee a good night’s craic while taking exercise at the same time. The Bright Ideas Craft Club is back with two workshops on the making of Roman Blinds on Sat 12th and 19th Oct 10am – 4pm. The workshops are for those in the 50+ age bracket.
