Parish Fundraising – An Opportunity to Contribute – Parishioners will receive a brochure in the next few weeks. I encourage all family members to read it – those who are active members of the Parish and those who are not. Parish Finance Committee meeting Monday 12th February.
Saint Brigid 1500 – to mark this year each Church has a St Brigid’s Cross made by young Parishioners attending St Malachy’s, Roscavey, St Mary’s, St Brigid’s Primary Schools. Thank you for your work.
Year of Prayer: on 21st January Pope Francis announced a Year of Prayer in preparation for the 2025 Jubilee Year. He said: this year is dedicated to rediscovering the great value and absolute need for prayer in one’s personal life, in family life, in the life of the Church and in the world. I ask you to intensify your prayer to prepare us to live this event (the Jubilee Year 2025) of grace well and to experience the power of God’s hope.
Church of the Immaculate Conception – following our celebrations for the 40th Anniversary of the Opening of the Church it was thought that a small publication of photographs and memories of the building and official opening of the Church in 1983 and subsequent events that occurred in the Church – family celebrations – should be put together for ourselves and future generations. Photographs will be returned to owners – and any material should be passed on to Eilish McSorley or Fr. Michael. Thank you.
